TECHNICAL DATA SHEETDESCRIPTION
ISOGRAFF is a water-soluble, breathable anti-graffiti sacrificial product used to protect mineral-based surfaces.
ISOGRAFF creates a sacrificial surface barrier that protects the underlying coat, reducing the absorption of water and dirt, without altering the breathability of this coat. It facilitates the removal of graffiti, simply through cleaning with hot water.
ISOGRAFF can be removed therefore, and after the removal of graffiti, the anti-graffiti coating must be re-applied.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
May Be Applied Over:
- Surfaces of stone, brick, marble, granite, etc.
- Pre-painted mineral surfaces as long as the paint is compact and adheres well to the surface, and so able to withstand subsequent cleaning with water.
- In the case of applications over washable paints, the protected coat tends to take on a slightly more intense colour.
- May not be applied over breathable paints or whitewash.
- The application of ISOGRAFF modifies the surface, giving it a slightly waxed finish.
- In cases where the anti-graffiti treatment creates too large a difference between treated and non-treated surfaces, it is recommended that the protective coat be applied in geometrically demarcated areas so as to render the surfaces aesthetically harmonious. To this end, string courses, mouldings and cables in general may be useful.

PREPARING THE SURFACE
Stone, Brick, Marble and Granite Surfaces:
The surfaces must be clean and compact.
- In the case of surfaces that are not compact, consolidate them first using appropriate products that should be selected on the basis of the type of material and degree of crumbling.
- Where there is dirt, surface crumbling, flaking, etc., clean with water, sandblaster or with chemicals. It is advisable to effect a preliminary test to establish the method and type of cleaning that is most suitable.
- If there is graffiti, remove it using GRAFFITI REMOVER 7780001 following the instructions in the technical sheet for this product.
- The removal of the graffiti depends a great deal upon the porosity of the surface; on smooth surfaces such as marble and granite, cleaning can be easily effected whilst on highly porous surfaces, it may prove more difficult.
- Apply the product with the surface dry.
Pre-Painted Surfaces:
- Ensure the paint adheres well to the surface and is able to resist subsequent cleaning with water.
- Clean carefully, removing any dust or dirt that is present.
- After ensuring the surface is dry, apply the product.
- Surfaces painted with products that are not very resistant to washing, such as breathable paints or whitewash, may not be treated with ISOGRAFF as a subsequent washing to remove graffiti would also remove the coat of paint.
- The anti-graffiti effect is achieved after the product has dried completely (4 hours at 20 °C) and remains effective for at least three years if not removed.
- Surfaces protected with anti-graffiti ISOGRAFF that are dirtied can be cleaned using hot water at 80 °Cor a steam cleaner as used for cleaning surfaces in the home.
- In the case of pre-painted surfaces that have been defaced with graffiti, the removal of these graffiti using paint stripper may also result in the removal of the paint, so it is advisable to paint over the graffiti with a fresh coat and subsequently protect the surface with a coat of ISOGRAFF.
- Surfaces already treated with ISOGRAFF and subsequently cleaned, should be protected with a further local retouching with ISOGRAFF, even though a fair amount of protection remains.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Avoid applying the paint with relative humidity of the air exceeding 80% and of the surface 10% and the temperature of the air and/or surface below 5 °C or above 35 °C.
- Tools: brush, roller, low-pressure spray gun.
- Before applying the anti-graffiti coat, we recommend that you call our Technical Assistance.
- The product dries in 2 hours at 25 °C and 65% relative humidity. The surfaces treated must be protected from splashes of water for at least 12 hours.
- Number of coats: the product must be applied with a minimum of one coat, taking care to avoid drippings. If a second coat is applied, this must be done within 20 minutes of the first.
- Dilution: ready for use.
- All tools should be washed in water immediately after use.
- Indicative coverage: 6-8 m2/l per coat on smooth surfaces of average absorption. It is recommended that a test be effected on the surface to determine effective coverage of the product.
