Based on polysiloxane and acrylic resins, suitable for impregnating and consolidating low-absorbency mineral surfaces before painting with NEPTUNUS line paints. Ideal for indoor bonding on AQUASYSTEM/NEPTUNUS dehumidifying smoothing coating, before finishing with NEPTUNUS.

DESCRIPTION
NEPTUNUS PRIMER H is a water-soluble fixative containing polysiloxanes and acrylic resins for impregnation and consolidation of mineral bases with little absorbency prior to painting with NEPTUNUS paints. Perfect as an interior fixative over NEPTUNUS dehumidifying coating prior to NEPTUNUS finish.
The chemical properties of NEPTUNUS PRIMER H allow walls to breathe while effectively consolidating them.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
NEPTUNUS PRIMER H is recommended for waterproofing
impregnation of all interior and exterior mineral surfaces with low absorbency prior to painting with NEPTUNUS siloxane products.
May Be Applied On:

•  New and old plasters based on hydraulic binders.
•  Concrete surfaces.
•  Old paints and wall coatings that are organic or mineral in nature, dry, compact, absorbent and cohesive.
•  Mineral conglomerates of various kinds, as long as they are absorbent.
  

Surfaces should be adequately prepared by following the instructions given in the paragraph "PREPARING THE SURFACE".
Do not apply on freshly painted surfaces. Do not apply over gypsum.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

• Type of Binder: modified siloxane copolymers and acrylic resins
•  Solvent: water
•  Specific gravity per UNI 2811• 1: 1.00 ± 0.03 kg/l.
•  Efflux time per UNI EN ISO 2431: 30” ± 3” Iso coup n. 3 at 25 °C.
•  Drying time (at 25° C and 65% R.H.): to touch 2 hours; to recoat after 12 hours.
  

PREPARING THE SURFACE
Plaster Surfaces:

•  Check that the base has been seasoned for at least 28 days.
•  Check the condition of the base. The surface must be consistent. If not, reapply or consolidate with appropriate products.
•  Remove any efflorescence with a brush or by washing.
•  If there is old paint, remove peeling paint; completely remove thick layers of lime or tempera paint by wetting the surface thoroughly and scraping it, or using a jet of water.
•  Level off irregularities in the surface. Holes, peeling surfaces, cracks and hollows in interiors may be treated with TAMSTUCCO 9400006 or TAMSTUCCO POLVERE 9410110; on exteriors, smooth over with BETOMARC 9450150 or RASAMIX 9440160 or with RASOMARC 9500150 or another cement-based product.
•  Crevices on the inside and outside must be adequately widened and filled with plaster or another similar product.
•  Sand over plaster and materials applied.
•  Remove dust, smog and other deposits with a brush.
•  If there is mould, first treat the surface with the COMBAT 222 and 333 system.
•  Make sure the surface is perfectly dry and then apply a coat of NEPTUNUS PRIMER H thinned* with water at a ratio of 1:2.
•  Proceed to finish with a NEPTUNUS product.
  

*(Thinning and quantities depend on the absorbency of the wall and must be determined with preliminary tests on the surface to be treated.)

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

• Air and support surface conditions:

• Avoid applying when surface condensation is present, or in direct sunlight.
•  Tools: brush, roller
•  Thinning: 1 part fixative to 2 parts water
•  Protect (shield) surfaces of glass, ceramics and plastic.
•  Clean utensils immediately after use with water.
•  Indicative spreading rate: 18-20 m2/l per coat on a surface with medium absorbency. A preliminary test should be conducted on the wall to be treated to determine consumption.

STORAGE
Maximum temperature for storage: +30 °C.
Minimum temperature for storage: +5 °C.
Protect from damp.
Stability in original unopened container under appropriate temperature conditions: 1 year.

NEPTUNUS PRIMER H Contains max: 30 g/l VOC The product does not require labelling according to the Directives 1999/45/EC and 67/548/EEC and subsequent amendments. Use the product in compliance with the hygiene and safety regulations in force. Do not dispose of the containers as usual waste. Allow the residue to dry, and handle them as special waste. Store out of the reach of children. Use in a well-ventilated room. If the product comes into contact with the eyes, wash them immediately with plenty of water. If swallowed, immediately consult a physician and show him the container or label. Do not throw the residues into sewer systems or streams, or onto the ground.
