UNIMARC SEMI-GLOSS FLOOR FINISH / SERIES 316
Based on acrylic resins in aqueous dispersion suitable for indoor wooden floors and objects. Good expansion, resistance to the chemical agents present in waxes and cleansers, strong anti-blocking effect. Excellent hardness and elasticity. Appropriate for painting over new wood surfaces or those already painted with (strong adherence) to washable water-based paint, to protect them and reduce dirt retention. Excellent adhesion to new wood, extremely easy to apply, beautiful, natural hand wax type finish.

UNIMARC VERNICE is a water-based product which can be used for varnishing interior flooring and wooden objects. In order to be even more suitable for this use, the product has been formulated so as to be easy to apply and to provide good flow, resistance to chemical agents to be found in waxes and detergents, as well as a high antiblocking effect.
The product dries quickly, reducing the time needed to varnish the surface. Once applied, the dry film proves to have excellent elasticity.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The product can be applied on new or varnished wooden items indoors, such as: parquet flooring, skirting boards, panels, and various wooden objects where a high level of surface hardness is required.
- Pay attention to the treatment of woods rich in tannin. To prevent the formation of unaesthetic dark stains apply UNIMARC PRIMER ANTITANNINO cod. 3080001/0019.
- Application on white emulsion paint can varies the brightness.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

- Specific gravity per UNI EN ISO 2811-1: 1.05 + 0.05 kg/l.
- Viscosity UNI 8902: 500 + 100 cps (with Brookfield rotational viscometer, at 25 C).
- Gloss per UNI EN ISO 2813: 30 + 5 at 60°
- Drying (25 C and 65% R.H.): to touch in 45 min; to recoat after 4 hours.
PREPARING THE SURFACE
New Woodwork:
- Sand lightly in order to remove the raised wood fibres.
- Remove any resin using the Nitro thinner 5170076.
- Fill the imperfections with synthetic filler. Rub down the fillings and eliminate any dust.
- Make sure the wood is not too damp.
- In order to revive or change colour, apply 2 coats of UNIMARC IMPREGNANTE LEGNO series 313 in the desired colour.
- Sand the surfaces and then proceed with the application of 2 coats of UNIMARC VERNICE (the base coat thinned at 10-20% with water), sanding between coats in order to remove raised fibres.
Varnished Woodwork:
- Sand down in order to remove the raised wood fibres.
- Eliminate any coats of old flaking varnish and coarsen all the surfaces which have already been varnished.
- Remove any resin using the Nitro thinner 5170076.
- Fill the imperfections with synthetic filler. Rub down the fillings and eliminate any dust.
- Sand the surfaces and then proceed with the application of 2 coats of UNIMARC VERNICE sanding between coats in order to remove raised fibres.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Air And Surface Conditions:
Air temperature: Min. +8 °C / Max.+35 °C.
Relative humidity of the air: <75%.
Temperature of the surface: Min. +5 °C / Max. +35 °C.
Humidity of the surface: <10% R.H..
- Avoid applying the product when there is condensation on the surface, or in direct sunlight.
- Tools: brush, roller, spry gun.
- Best results on large surface areas are attained by applying the product with the aid of a medium-bristle wool roller.
- Stir the product carefully before use.
- When applying with a brush and roller coating, the product is ready to be used. On new woodwork, thin the base coat at 15-20%, whilst the product should be used as it is for the second.
- When spraying, thin the product at 15% with water.
- Apply the product in successive coats, allowing at least 4 hours between coats.
- N coats: 2 coats of product should be applied. For greater filling power, 3 coats are recommended
- Tools should be cleaned using water.
- Indicative spreading rate: 5-6 sq m/l based on 2 coats on woodwork featuring average absorption.
TINTING
The product is available in clear tansparente effect.
STORAGE
Maximum temperature for storage stability: +30 °C
Minimum temperature for storage stability: +5 °C
Stability in the original closed containers stored at suitable temperatures: 3 years.

The product does not require labelling in accordance with 67/548/EEC and 1999/45/EC and its subsequent changes and updates. Use the product according to current health and safety regulations; after use, do not discard the containers in the environment; allow the residue to dry thoroughly, then treat as special waste. Store out of the reach of children. Use in a well ventilated place. In case of contact with eyes, wash immediately with abundant running water. In caso of ingestion, see a physician immediately and show him or her the container or label. Do not dispose of residues in the sewers, waterways or ground.
